What We Are
The Haunted Homestead Society is a community of paranormal enthusiasts, independent investigators, historians, and curious travelers united by one purpose: to find, document, and share the world's most haunted and mysterious locations.
We are not a television production or a commercial ghost tour company. We are everyday people who take the unexplained seriously. Our Grand Registry is built entirely by members who have personally visited, researched, or investigated the locations they submit.

Our History
The Haunted Homestead Society was founded by a small group of paranormal investigators frustrated by the lack of a central, reliable resource for haunted locations. Every existing list was either incomplete, riddled with inaccuracies, or locked behind a paywall.
We believed the paranormal community deserved better. So we built it — a free, open, community-driven Grand Registry where anyone could contribute, anyone could read, and the locations would speak for themselves through firsthand accounts and member reviews.
What started as a small collection has grown into one of the most comprehensive haunted location databases on the internet, spanning dozens of countries and hundreds of verified locations — with more being added every week.

Investigation Ethics
The Haunted Homestead Society takes responsible investigation seriously. We hold all members to a strict code of conduct to protect both the locations we document and the people who visit them.

The Society explicitly does not encourage, condone, or facilitate trespassing. Always obtain express written permission from property owners before visiting any private location. Violations of this principle are grounds for permanent removal from the Society.
